Alex Rutherford Company Owner	When did you first join Nomad? 1993 What was your most memorable tour experience? Arriving at Sossusvlei, in the desert, after having got the clients all excited about the desolation of the place, only to find it drowned by floods, with green grass growing on the dunes. It started raining and everyone was extremely unimpressed with setting up camp in the rain. To break the tension we picked a suitable victim, and proceeded to submerge them in the now, knee height mud. A massive mud bath/fight ensued resulting in one of the best days on tour. Getting lost on the way to Amboseli, driving through a Masaai village where no-one speaks English (and my Swahili is basic!), crossing dodgy riverbeds and finally getting there by gauging direction with the sun. And all this without my clients ever realising! Where have you travelled to? South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi, Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, China, Germany, Netherlands.

As a guide I travelled on all the tours from Cape Town to Uganda. Other than that I have only been to the UK but would love to add a few more countries to my list. Favourite Quote? Tosca Korver *Ops HR Manager*	When did you first join Nomad? 2003 *What was your most memorable tour experience?* I was on an accommodated Cape to Vic, and had a massive sand storm over the Namib. As a joke I told the clients that we’re going to see some Camels flying past anytime soon. The next day, 12 Camels walked across the road in front of the truck! One of my clients response to this: Can you do the same with Leopards? *What are your interests?* Wildlife, Wildlife and Africa. Oh, and taking photos of Wildlife and Africa. *Where have you travelled to?* Cape Town to Nairobi. The only tour I did not do was the Mozambique tour and Gorillas. Vashti Van Bodengom Sales & Groups Manager	When did you first join Nomad? May 2002 What was your most memorable tour experience? Wow difficult one, as every tour was great! When you come to our office I can tell you all about my tour life. What are your interests? Socialising with friends, we started drinking quite a bit of wine and I figured that it would be quite nice to drink your own wine. So apart from enjoy outdoor activities like 4x4 excursions in the mountains, socialising with friends, I also have quite a passion for wine and making wine. Where have you travelled to? Hmm, I think I might be changing the question to where have you not been yet… Oh yes Greenland! I am in the very fortunate position that I got to travel quite a bit after school and travel quite often now all over the world for my job. Favourite Quote? This has to be the Chobe River Cruise, watching countless herds of elephants at the water's edge and seeing the locals fishing from their mokoro while the sun was setting - truly spectacular. What are your interests? Most certainly hiking and a good mountain bike ride through Koeberg Nature Reserve. Where have you travelled to? Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Europe extensively on Contiki Tours including Germany, Austria, Italy, Switzerland and France.
