At Nomad, we're VERY passionate about our vehicles! They are amongst the finest in Africa. We have always been at the cutting edge of adventure vehicle design and our vehicles are constantly being upgraded and renovated to ensure they remain the best.
Adventure vehicles
Nomad operates two types of vehicles on our tours. Both are uniquely modified to suit the different tour requirements and are scheduled according to the prevailing conditions at the time of travel. Original vehicle design; for rugged terrain. The tough and simple construction of this vehicle makes it ideal for the unforgiving roads of East Africa and Mozambique. These trucks are also used on occasion in Southern Africa. Some of the trucks vary in design. Therefore some of the features differ from truck to truck, such as the overhead lockers.

East African Safari Vehicles
Not all of our tours are operated on adventure vehicles. For some of our tours we use smaller vehicles. Safari vehicles, such as the one pictured, are able to travel on much rougher terrain than the larger trucks. Unlike the trucks these vehicles are not built for long distance travel, but they are ideal for game viewing.

Those vehicles are most used in serengeti, Ngorongoro and Masai mara
Our workshop - the backbone of Nomad
Nomad has recently moved to a state of the art specialised vehicle workshop. Our trucks are fully maintained and the bodies are lovingly built in our workshop. Your safety and comfort are our first priority. After all, most tours cover large distances and much time is spent in the trucks, more reason to ensure they are the best.

Our Equipment
Sleeping under African stars on your comfortable foam mattress, in a 2-man large dome tent (with built in mosquito net), is the best way to experience the thrill of bush camping. Sitting on your camp chair around a roaring fire is the perfect way to end your day's adventures
