Day 1 - Zanzibar Stone Town
On this simple and relaxing tour you need to make your own way to Zanzibar. You can fly directly to Zanzibar Airport, or take the regular Ferry service from Dar es Salaam. Zanzibar has a long and interesting history and still retains a measure of independence even after joining with Tanganyika to form Tanzania is 1964. Over the years it has fallen under many different rulers, but was always an important trading post. In recent times Zanzibar has become a popular tourist destination and for obvious reasons. The unspoilt Indian Ocean beaches are largely uncrowded, the sea is warm and inviting and the locals are welcoming.
Today you will be transferred from the airport to your accommodation in Stone Town. Exploring the shady alleyways of this historic town is always rewarding. There are many excellent local restaurants, but a trip to the night market where you can sample a little bit of everything including spices and seafood is a lot of fun.
Optional Activities: Jozani Forest, Swimming with Dolphins.

Day 2 - Spice Tour
Today you will be taken on a guided tour of Stone Town and will visit The House of Wonders (the first house on Zanzibar to get electricity) as well as the location of the old Slave Market. Also included is a visit to a spice plantation, where you will get to taste the fragrant and varied spices. After the tour you will be transferred to the north of the island to Kiwengwa beach.

Day 3/4 - Kiwengwa Beach
Kiwenga Beach is located at the north east tip of the island and has beautiful white sandy beaches with crystal clear water. Although there are there are numerous things to do here, lying in the sun with a good book is always a top choice. Restaurants, bars and shops are all within walking distance.
Optional Activities: Scuba Diving, Snorkelling, Fishing, and Boat Trips.

Day 5 - Stone Town
This afternoon you will be transferred back to Stone Town to spend your last night on Zanzibar. Use the time to catch up on any last minute shopping, or find a nice seaside cafe and enjoy your last Zanzibar sunset sipping your cocktail of choice.

Day 6 - Leave Zanzibar - Tour Ends
On this last day you may have the morning free, depending on your flight time. You will be transferred to the airport on time to catch your onward flight and continue your journey.
